Overview

Most of our walkers choose to book multi-centre walking holidays on our trails, walking on to a new overnight location every night. However you may prefer to stay in one or perhaps two locations only rather than moving on every day.

Itinerary

One Centre Breaks on Exmoor, the UK’s smallest National Park. This offers 250 square miles of dramatic and varied landscapes, from high moorland to rugged coastline. At its heart lies Lynmouth, the ideal base for a walking holiday. Officially designated a Walkers are Welcome town, Lynmouth provides direct access to spectacular trails and has excellent facilities, a picturesque harbour, and easy access to its twin village of Lynton via the charming cliff railway. This region is rich in natural and literary heritage. Walkers can enjoy wild moorlands, wooded valleys, roaring rivers, and coastal cliffs, with highlights including the Valley of the Rocks, Great Hangman (the highest point on the 630-mile South West Coast Path), and the peaceful harbour at Porlock Weir. There are four main walking routes from Lynmouth, catering to a variety of distances and interests. 1. Two Moors Way: Finish this long-distance route with a dramatic descent from Exe Head to sea level through moorland and ancient woodland. 2. South West Coast Path Day 3: Hike over Great Hangman and through Heddon’s Mouth valley, ending at the Valley of the Rocks. 3. South West Coast Path Day 2: Begin at Porlock Weir for a remote section of coast, including Culbone—the smallest church in England. 4. Coleridge Way: Walk in the Romantic poets' footsteps from Oare Church down the secluded Brendon Valley, tracing a stream that becomes a rushing gorge. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a casual explorer, Lynmouth makes the perfect hub for discovering Exmoor’s wild beauty.×
One Centre Breaks in Fowey. Nestled at the mouth of the majestic Fowey Estuary and opposite Polruan, is arguably the finest base for exploring the South Cornwall Coast Path. This historic harbour town lies within a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers a blend of scenic charm and authentic character. Still a working port, Fowey retains a local feel, avoiding the heavy tourism seen in some neighbouring coastal towns. Its combination of top-quality accommodation, excellent dining, and walking routes right from the doorstep makes it ideal for a walking holiday. There’s a wide variety of trails for all levels. 1. Charlestown to Fowey offers a stretch of the South West Coast Path known for its links to Daphne du Maurier. 2. Fowey to Looe & Polperro is regarded as the most rewarding section between Falmouth and Plymouth. 3. Inland walks to Lerryn and Lostwithiel explore the quiet beauty of the Fowey River Valley. 4. The Saints Way from Helman Tor to Fowey offers both eastern and western inland route options. 5. The Hall Walk is a classic circular route using ferries, while the Gribbin Head loop blends coast and countryside. Beyond walking, Fowey provides canoe trips to hidden creeks like Lerryn, ferry rides to Mevagissey and Polperro, and easy access to attractions like the Eden Project and Lanhydrock Estate. Local beaches and quiet estuary inlets are a joy to discover on foot. Accommodation ranges from charming B&Bs to boutique hotels and cosy inns with harbour views. Let us tailor an itinerary to suit your stay in this exceptional walking destination.+
